The most common visa option is the Short Stay ‘C’ Visa, which only lasts 90 days. Ireland is a great remote work destination if you plan to go somewhere for three months. Another option is to apply for the Self-Employed Visa. Fun fact: Ireland is often called the "Emerald Isle" due to its lush green landscapes. The country's mild and rainy climate and its fertile soil create the perfect conditions for vibrant green fields and rolling hills. Credit 62. Morocco (Carte de Sejour) Morocco is a popular remote work destination. Morocco’s rich cultural heritage, delicious cuisine, and vibrant culture is no wonder why digital nomads are flocking over. You can visit historic sites like the ancient city of Fes, and indulge in traditional dishes like tagine and couscous. From the Atlas Mountains to the Atlantic coastline, there’s so much to do in Morocco. Morocco, however, doesn’t have a digital nomad visa program. While this is the case, you could apply for Morocco’s Carte de Sejour, which lasts a year but can be extended to 5-10 years. The tourist visa also lasts for up to 90 days. Fun fact: Morocco is home to the largest desert in the world outside the polar regions, the Sahara Desert. It is roughly the size of the United States. Credit 63. Netherlands (LongStay MVV Visa) ​​The Netherlands’ bike-friendly cities and vibrant startup scene make it ideal for a young professional who wants to work remotely! There are world-class museums like the Van Gogh Museum and Rijksmuseum. During your time there, you can also indulge in famous Dutch treats like stroopwafels and bitterballen. The Netherlands has no official visa program for digital nomads. However, digital nomads can choose the Long-Stay MVV Visa to work from home. It is a self-employed residence permit, and the procedure depends on your passport. Fun fact: The Netherlands is known for its extensive network of canals. In fact, Amsterdam alone has more than 100 kilometers of canals. Credit 64. Poland Poland is an affordable choice for digital nomads. This allows you to live in Switzerland for 5-10 years. Fun fact: Switzerland is home to the world's longest pedestrian suspension bridge, the Charles Kuonen Suspension Bridge. Spanning a length of 494 meters (1,621 feet), this breathtaking bridge is located in the Swiss Alps. Credit 67. Tanzania (Class C Business Visa) If you’ve heard of Zanzibar, Serengeti National Park, or Mount Kilimanjaro, Tanzania has probably been on your mind. Adventure-seeking digital nomads can enjoy Tanzania’s rich history, culture, and local traditions with over 120 ethnic groups. Tanzania has no official digital nomad visa but offers a Class C Business Visa. With this visa, you can enter Tanzania multiple times for up to 90 days per visit. You can extend their stay for an additional six months if you want. Fun fact: Tanzania is home to the highest peak in Africa, Mount Kilimanjaro. Standing at an impressive height of 5,895 meters (19,341 feet). Credit 68. Thailand (Smart Visa) Working remotely in Thailand, you can enjoy delicious street food and various activities like diving.
